Dear Friends, Greetings from Zimbabwe. This ‘virtual safari’ page is a metamorphosis of something we do every December in our shop on London’s Fulham Road. For seven days and nights, we host a wonderful string of all day parties with delicious offerings to the sound of pianists, double bassists and saxophonists! It’s become such a tradition that we have had people fly in from all over the world to join myself, Catja and the boys for what we’ve taken to calling our Festive Safari.  Patrick & Catja in the Zambezi Valley Welcome. This Virtual Safari is how we can share our seasons greetings with you, wherever you may be. Enjoy this look into the lives of all those who help me bring you all the way from Africa the finest sculptures, jewellery, gifts, and housewares in sterling silver and 18 carat gold. A great invitation as well as a warm reminder of happy times in Africa especially visiting your studio and home in Harare with wonderful souvenirs still cherished. Keep up the good work! This year I am in South Sudan where one day wildlife will again be properly protected.

My soul writhes when I think of the Zambezi Valley. The greater part of me lies there still, quietly under a Kigelia tree. Your photographs bring memories crowding back. Woodsmoke, dogs on point, driven guineafowl overhead. All whilst in the company of the best of friends. A long, long way from my island near Seattle.
Dear Patrick and Catja – how wonderful to see you both in photo – looking terrific and your business sounds fantastic. Would just love to be in London simply to come to your shop – but Queensland Noosa Australia is a bit far at the moment. Thank you for this great invite on line. I have recieved your cards each year and never made it due to living down under since leaving Zim. My family ALWAYS go on my behalf and love it each year. Any cahnce of a PM exhibition down under one day? It is always much admired by those who see it in our home and when I wear the jewellery. Have a very happy festive party week and Christmas. Typical Mavros style, classy and really well put together. I believe there may be a chance we will be fishing Costa Rica together next year for the king of fish “Tarpon” That would certainly make for a good story or two for next years invitation card. Would love to make the party, maybe next year.

I am proud to see this wonderful invitation which represents Africa in such an elegant manner in London. Wish I was there but decided to soak up the Africa sun this Christmas.

Presently in Durbs and then on to Joburg for a 60th where we look forward to handing over our gift of a Patrick Mavros leather belt with Croc design buckle. We know our pal will be over the moon. Wish we could have joined in with your festivities but would prefer Xmas in July if you’re thinking of one cos it’s too cold for us in London at this time of the year!
